Abstract

Abstract: The sense of nationalism of the nation's children has increasingly declined into its own spotlight, such as attitudes, social behavior of children, adolescents, and today's young generation. The decline in the younger generation has affected the decline in a sense of nationalism. The tendency that is happening now is that the younger generation seems to be indifferent to the struggle of the hero by not understanding the nature of humans as creatures of the nation and state. Proud to be part of the Indonesian nation is one example of having the spirit of nationalism. Therefore, in an effort to instill the spirit of student Nationalism the role of the teacher here is very much needed in instilling the soul of the Nationalism of students from an early age so that it is reflected in daily life. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of PPKn teachers in instilling the spirit of nationalism for grade VII students at MTs Miftahul Ulum Sitiaji Sukosewu Bojonegoro. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. In this study data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation relating to the object of research. Then the final step in the analysis of the data the author uses qualitative data analysis. The results of research conducted at MTs Miftahul Ulum Sitiaji Sukosewu Bojonegoro show that the role of the PPKn teacher is very important in instilling the spirit of student nationalism. The role of PPKn teachers in instilling the spirit of student Nationalism is as follows, PPKn teachers as mentors, PPKn teachers as bridges between generations, PPKn teachers as stimulus stimulus, and PPKn teachers as authorities. While the form of the spirit of Nationalism VII grade students Miftahul Ulum Sitiaji Sukosewu Bojonegoro namely, proud to be an Indonesian nation, willing to sacrifice, accept pluralism and be proud of Indonesian culture, and appreciate the services of the heroes.
