Abstract
Abstract: Civics education is one of the compulsory sujects for studentsone of the roles of civics is as a nasionalism education. However in this era of globalization, the attitude of nasionalism has egun bto erode from the younger generation, especially students. This s also experienced y students of MTs Darul Ulum Kepohbaru. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the role of civics learning in instilling the nasionalistic attitude of students at MTs Darul Ulum Kepohbaru in the 2019/2020 school year. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The sujects in this study were 1 civics teacher and 13 students of MTs Darul Ulum Kepohbaru. Sources of data and secondary data with data collection techniques through observation, interviewes, questionnaires (questionnaire) and documentation. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, observation and documentation cannot be carried out. To maintain the validity of the data, sources triangulation and technique triangulations were carried out. Ased on the results of the data analysis, it is concluded that the reseach results show that the role of civics learning in installing a nasionalistic attitude in students at MTs Darul Ulum Kepohbaru in the 2019/2020 school year is good. This can be shown through the nasionalism of students who have been good in terms of 4 indicators, including 1) love for the nation and homeland got 69,23% (score 36-good) 2) respect for the services of heroes got 64,74 % (score 33,67-good) 3) self sacrificing attitude got 71,15 % (score 37-good) 4) tolerance and tolerance got 81,73 % (score 42,5-very good). Efforts to cultivate an attitude of nasionalism are carried out by civics teachers through varied learning methods, although not yet optimal. Keywords: Civics learning, nationalism, students.
