Abstract
The aim of this research is to improve chemistry learning outcomes by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using social gathering card learning media. The research subjects were 36 high school students majoring in science in Bengkulu City. This research was carried out in the first semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK), which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementing actions, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting. The research instruments in this study were student activity observation sheets and student knowledge learning outcomes tests on acid and base titration material. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and percentages of classical learning outcomes. The research results show an increase in learning outcomes and student activities in each cycle by implementing the PBL model using social gathering card media. Based on the research results, there was an increase in student learning outcomes from the average score of the first cycle and second cycle learning outcomes tests, namely 55.6 and 84.6, with the percentage of classical learning completeness from cycle I and second cycle, namely 52.8% and 83.3%.
