Abstract
Listening is the most important skill in language learning. In listening activities, students are required to be able to elaborate the information heard with other information that is already known and interpret its meaning by integrating what is heard with the data in the brain. One of the media used in learning which is believed in listening is short film as audio-visual media. This study aims to describe the Use of short films as audio visual media and teacher's perception of learning English listening skill with short films in teaching listening skills. This research is study case design. The types of data used in this study is qualitative data. The results found are Short film as audio visual media in teaching listening materials of English are effective to support the teaching learning process, This media makes the students more motivated and very easy for students to understand the material that given by the teachers and The teacher perception using short film as audio visual in listening are attract students' attention, learning delivered can be received well, and can also clarify the material presented less understood by students.
