Skripsi, Program Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Pendidikan Bahasa dan Seni, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, Pembimbing (1) Joko Setiyono, (II) Sujiran, Kata kunci— Reading Skills, SQ3R Method, Review Text The purpose of this researcher is to improve the quality of the procces and the quality of the results of the Review Text Reading Skills in class VIII students of SMP Krtayuda Kedungtuban Academic Year 2022/2023. The method used is SQ3R. This research was conducted on class VIII-A students of SMP Kartayuda Kedungtuban for the 2022/2023 academic year. The SQ3R reading method stands for Survey, Question, Read, Recall/Recite, and Review. The type of research conducted was Classroom Action Research which was carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, reflecting. This research was located at SMP Kartayuda Kedungtuban, Blora Regency, with 29 students as subjects, namely 17 male students and 12 female students. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Improvement of Reading Skills in Class VIII Students of Kartayuda Kedungtuban Middle School can be improved by the SQ3R method. It was proven that in student assessment there was an increase in the first cycle, the average value was 54,9, in the second cycle, the average value was 63,6. Improved Students' Reading Skills in the Review Text material experienced an increase from 54,9 before using the method, to 75,1 after cycle II.
