Writing skills are the skills to write down everything that a person or poet thinks or feels. This skill can be said as a skill that is difficult to do. Difficulties in writing poetry were experienced by students of class XB MA Sunan Bonang Parengan Tuban. In addition, it can be seen from the lack of value that students get in writing poetry. Besides that, it is added that the method used is not precise. Based on the problems experienced by students, there must be solutions or efforts to assist students in writing poetry that is in accordance with the building elements of poetry. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the poetry writing skills of class XB students of MA Sunan Bonang Parengan Tuban according to the indicators 1) diction, 2) typography, 3) rhyme, 4) suitability of content with the theme, and 5) mandate, using the quantum learning method . This type of research is a case study research with 11 students as subjects. Of the 11 students, the researcher took 5 students to be interviewed on the grounds that they had good poetry writing skills according to the indicators. Data collection techniques using observation, test methods, interviews, and documentation. Data was validated using source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique uses the content analysis method starting from 1) data reduction, 2)data presentation, and 3) drawing conclusions.The results of the study showed that students in class XB SUNAN BONANG Parengan Tuban in writing poetry were in accordance with the structure of poetry according to Waluyo and the ability of students to write poetry could be categorized as good. 1) Students can make poetry using simple diction but have quite deep meaning, 2) Students can make typography where some of the verses are indented, 3) Students can already make rhymes that rhyme aa-bb at the end of the line, 4) Conformity of content with the theme of poetry written by students on the theme of father's struggle, 5) . In this part of the message, students compose a poem entitled "Devotion to Parents" which reminds us that we must be devoted to our parents.
