Abstract

Abstract This study to find out how the use of school libraries and reading interest on the results of students' learning grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tambakrejo. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires and documentation with quantitative approach. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tambakrejo which amounted to 256 students. Samples taken by 32 students by custer random sumpling, prerequisite analysis test using normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test. The method used is multiple linear regression.Result of research: 1) there is no influence of school library utilization on result of learning in subject of IPS student of class VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Tambakrejo year lesson 2016/2017. 2) there is the influence of reading interest on the learning outcomes in the subjects of social studies students of class VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Tambakrejo academic year 2016/2017. 3) there is influence of library utilization and reading interest of student to result of study in subject of IPS student of class VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Tambakrejo academic year 2016/2017.
