Abstract
ABSTRACK Keywords: STAD Type Co-operative Learning Model, and Learning Achievement, This study aims to determine the effect of the application of STAD type cooperative learning model to the achievement of learning Economics subject of economic actors in Indonesia semester 2 in students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sumberrejo. This research is an experimental research using pretest-posttes group design research design. The independent variable in this research is STAD type cooperative learning model while the dependent variable is learning achievement. The subjects of this study are students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sumberrejo as many as 43 students, divided into two groups: Experiment Group of 20 students and Control Group of 23 students. The result of the research shows that the application of STAD type cooperative learning model has a better performance toward the improvement of students' achievement in Economics of VIII class of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sumberrejo. The result of the observation shows that the t-count value is greater than the t-table value (2.9866 > 2,021). This is in due to an increase in the average value of the test results. And data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the influence of STAD type cooperative method on economic learning achievement of economic actors in Indonesia. Based on these observations can be suggested that teachers should use the method of learning at the time of giving material to the students, especially the subjects of Economics very broad.
