Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultural aspects of Anastasye Natanel's novel Seira & Tongkat Lumimuut, The relationship between Anastasye Natanel's novel Seira & Tongkat Lumimuut and Indonesian language learning in high school. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Sources of data were obtained from the novel Seira & Tongkat Lumimuut by Anastasye Nathanel and Indonesian lesson plans in high school. The presence of researchers plays an important role, because researchers act as the main research instrument as well as data collectors. Data collection techniques were carried out using document (record) reading and recording techniques. Checking the validity of the findings in this study using source triangulation techniques, namely by looking for information. Researchers can check their findings by utilizing existing sources, methods, and theories. Based on the results of the data analysis, two conclusions were obtained from the research results as follows. (1) Cultural aspects in the novel Seira & Tongkat Lumimuut by Anastasye Nathanel there are seven aspects, namely 10 indicators of religious systems, 4 indicators of social systeqms or social organizations, 20 indicators of knowledge systems, 22 indicators of language, 8 indicators of art, 10 indicators of livelihood systems and 13 indicators of living equipment systems and technology, and the most prominent of the seven aspects is language. (2) The relationship between the novel Seira & Tongkat Lumimuut by Anastasye Nathanel can be used as an Indonesian language learning material in high school, especially SK reading and KD 3.9 analyzing the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of Indonesian novels/translations.
