Abstract

Novels can be an ideal learning medium for educators to teach analytical materials of literary works in Indonesian language lessons, especially in the study of intrinsic elements. It is considered necessary for the author to conduct an analytical study of a novel literary work entitled Kita Too Young To Fall in Love as a step to recognize and identify whether the novel is worthy to be used as teaching material in Indonesian language learning at the upper middle level. The research was conducted aimed at: 1) To know the background elements contained in The Novel We Are Too Young Fall In Love By Aiu Ahra, 2) To know the elements of the plot or plot contained in the Novel We Are Too Young To Fall In Love By Aiu Ahra, 3) To know the character contained in the Novel We Are Too Young To Fall In Love By Aiu Ahra , and 4) To find out if Our Novel Is Too Young To Fall In Love By Aiu Ahra can be used as a learning material for Indonesian language in high school. This research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. The data source in this study is the novel Kita Too Young To Fall in Love by Aiu Ahra published by Elex Media Komputindo (Member of IKAPI) Jakarta February 2020 with a thick 308-page book. This research is descriptive qualitative research with data analysis techniques flowing analysis model. Technique of data collection used technique of literature study. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The background elements contained in the novel are varied, which includes 30 kinds of background places, 11 kinds of social background, and 21 kinds of social background, 2) Elements of plot contained in the novel are divided into two parts according to the story of the main character raised by the author of the novel , namely the characters Azna and Reksa, 3) The characters contained in the novel are quite a lot, namely two main characters, three additional main characters, five main additional figures, and seventeen additional figures that are indeed additional, 4) Novel Kita Too Young To Fall in Love By Aiu Ahra can be used as material for learning Indonesian in high school. This isbecause the novel in addition to containing the background, plot, and characters that are intrinsic elements of a novel literary work that can be studied together by the teacher with students, the novel is a reflection of the lives of high school students in general. A form of novel that can provide inspiration and positive messages to high school students. Keyword: instrinsic element, learning process of Indonesia language
