Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out which is better between the script cooperative learning model and the direct learning model on the mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students on the subject of cubes and blocks at MTs Tarbiyatul Ilam Soko for the academic year 2020/2021. This type of research uses Quasi Experimental. The population of this research is class VIII-A and class VIII-B with 34 students in each class. The data collection technique used Cluster Random Sampling. Methods of data collection using the method of documentation and test methods. The research instrument used was a matter of yes, mathematics learning achievement. Data analysis test was used with t test and prerequisite test analysis with Liliefors test for normality test, Bartlett test for homogeneity test and t test for balance test. Based on the results of the data analysis of students' mathematics learning achievement while the script cooperative learning model was applied, it was obtained tcount = 3.8043 > ttable = 2.2937 so that tcount Dk then H0 was rejected, it can be concluded that the script cooperative learning model is better than the direct learning model on learning achievement Mathematics for class VIII students is the subject of cubes and blocks at MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko for the 2020/2021 academic year.
