Abstract

The background 0f this study, researchers want to offer the use of the Google Classroom application as on alternative to online learning an chose SMA Taruna Bhakti Gondang as an object to see the effect of using the Google Classroom application on the learning achievement of class XI IPS student in economic subjects. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was an influence of Google Classroom media on the learning achievement of class XI IPS students in economics lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Taruna Bhakti Gondang. This study uses a quantitative approach with the population and sample in this study are all class XI IPS SMA Taruna Bhakti Gondang as many as 30 students. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. The test instrument used is the content validity test using a validator, validity test, and reliability test. The initial prerequisite test used is the normality test with the Lilliefors method with calculations showing that the data is normally distributed, the linearity test is used to determine the relationship between the two variables has a linear relationship. The calculation of the hypothesis test used is a one-party t-test. From the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test, the tcount value is -6,2369 and the ttable value is -1,6991 at a significant level of 5%. The value of tcount is in the Ho rejection area, thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion obtained is that there is an influence of Google Classroom learning media on the learning achievement of class XI social studies students in economics during the covid-19 pandemic at SMA Taruna Bhakti Gondang District.
