Abstract

Abstrak This study aims to determine the influence of teacher competence and independence of students learning on the achievement of learning on economic subjects of students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Balen Bojonegoro academic year 2016/2017. This research includes ex post facto research which is correlational cause and effect by using quantitative approach. The things studied in this research is the level of teacher competence and student learning independence in the values of affective, cognitive, and psychomotor. Determination of the subject of this study was conducted by using cluster random sampling technique with consideration of the similarity so that the sample is considered to have the same ability, consisting of 25 students for the trial and as many as 20 students for operational field test. Data collection techniques were conducted by using questionnaires. Questionnaire is used to determine the significant value of teacher competence and learning independence developed and assessed in the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. Data were analyzed by regression and multiple correlation to find validity test, Normality test and hypothesis test. The results showed that, in the test questionnaires of teacher competence and independence of students learning class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Balen Bojonegoro included in either category. And test result of significant value of teacher competence is 0,021 <0,05, meaning H0 hypothesis is rejected, learning independence is 0,423 <0,05, meaning H0 hypothesis rejected, and result of ANOVA F test that is 0,000 <0,05 meaning H0 is rejected . From these results can be concluded that the competence of teachers significantly influence on learning achievement, and learning independence significantly influence on learning achievement. Among the competency variables of teachers and the independence of students 'learning together positively influence the restatement of students' learning subjects of economy class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 BalenBojonegoro academic year 2016/2017.
