Abstract

Abstract Abstrak. This research, aimed to know whether the use of mp4 video media was effective or not for teaching writing of procedure text to the eleventh grade students of MA ISLAMIYAH MALO in the Academic Year of 2019/2020. This research was quantitative method in the form of quasi-experimental design. The participants of this research were the eleventh grade students of MA ISLAMIYAH MALO in Academic Year of 2019/2020. The experimental group were the students who taught by using mp4 video and the control group were the students who thaught by using jumbled picture. The mp4 video and jumbled picture are media that can be used to support teaching and learning process in the classroom. Both of them can be used by teacher to convey the material to the students. Thirty students from total one hundred and sixteen students as the sample. The sampling technique used in this research was cluster random sampling. The researcher used tests were used to collect the data. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. The result of calculation showed that in the significance degree of 5% the value of t score (t0) > t table (tt) (3.191 > 1.753). it means that t score is higher (3.191) than t table (1.753). It showed that there was a significant difference between the students who were taught by using mp4 video and those were taught by using jumbled picture. It can be concluded that MP4 video was more effective to be used to teach procedure text writing. Keyword: MP4 Video, procedure text, writing. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
