Abstract

Abstract : This study discusses the value of education in the novel Guru Aini in Indonesian Language Learning. The goal to be achieved is to describe and analyze the educational values contained in Guru Aini, which can be applied in literature learning material for high school students through Novel Guru Aini. This research is a content analysis research. The subject of this research is the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. The research is focused on problems related to the value of character education contained in the novel Guru Aini, which is then adjusted to the educational values according to the National Education System. Data were analyzed using qualitative description techniques with the aim of assessing and describing the problem under study. The validity of the data is obtained through validity (semantic, referential, expert judgment) and reliability (interrater and intrarater). The results showed that: (1) The intrinsic elements in the Novel Guru Aini include themes, plot, characters and characterizations, background, point of view, language style, and mandate (2) There are five types of educational values in Guru Aini's novel, namely Character values related to God Almighty, Character values in relation to oneself, Character values related to others or others Aware of the Rights and Obligations of Self and Others, Character values in relation to the environment and National Value Keywords: Character Education Values, Novel, Indonesian Language
