Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the language errors in terms of the use of capital letters in persuasion texts in class VIII A students at Fathul Majid Kasiman Middle School Academic Year 2019/2020, language errors in terms of errors in the use of prepositions in persuasion texts in class VIII A SMP IT Fathul Majid Kasiman Academic Year 2019/2020, and language errors in terms of the use of punctuation errors in persuasion texts in class VIII A SMP IT Fathul Majid Kasiman Academic Year 2019/2020. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques are done online (online).The results of this study indicate that there were 138 spelling errors or 64.78% of cases of misuse of capital letters. Written errors in preposition in, to, from were found as many as 13 or 35.13% of the error cases. Error in using punctuation marks consisted of 28 or 71.8% errors in using punctuation points, 14 or 42.42% errors in using punctuation marks, 3 or 50% errors in using punctuation points for colons, and 3 or 75% hyphen usage error.
