Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the differences in the Quiz Team learning model assisted by smart tree media on learning achievement in social studies subject for class VII MTs Tarbiyatul Islam Soko-Tuban even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is quantitative research. The research design used was Quasi-Experimental design. The population in this study were all class VII students totaling 100 students, with a sample class VII-A totaling 31 students as an experimental class who were treated in the form of a Quiz Team learning model assisted by smart tree media and class VII-B totaling 31 students as a control class. given the lecture learning model. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data collection method in this research is the observation method, the documentation method, and the test method. The learning achievement test instrument used for data collection was the learning achievement test items consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions which previously consisted of 25 multiple choice questions which were tested using content validity, internal consistency validity, reliability, difficulty level, and distinguishing power. The data analysis technique or hypothesis testing used the t test statistical technique with the Separated Variance formula and the prerequisite test analysis was carried out including the normality test using the Lilliefors method, the homogeneity test using the Bartlett method, and the balance test using the two-party t test.
