Abstract

Abstract: Education is a means of students in developing their potential to obtain a change in abilities, knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Education includes several components, two of which are teachers and students. Students can achieve if the teacher is able to provide learning experiences to students and be able to play an active role in motivating students to actively learn The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning method on the learning achievement of eighth grade students in the second semester of Junior High School Kedungadem on the Main Subject of Economic Performers in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research uses a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study were all students of class VII Junior High School Kedungadem. The sample in this study was 44 students, class VII-A, VII-B. The technique of taking this research is saturated sample or guota sample. Data collection techniques used are tests. The data analysis technique used is the prerequisite test, the balance test and the hypothesis test. Based on the results of data analysis with a significant level of 5%, it was fulfilled that: There was a positive and significant effect between the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning methods on student achievement, with a significant value of 0,000 <0.05.
