Abstract

Abstract: Cyberspace or cyber is a storehouse to obtain broad and unlimited information. The rapid development of the internet has had a huge impact in gathering information. National identity is a characteristic of a nation which shows it as identity and differentiates it from other nations. The elements forming a national identity include ethnicity, religion, language and culture. National identity is formed because of national and homeland feelings that are closely related to the spirit of nationality and love for the country. The symbolic meaning of national identity is the meaning that describes and describes the love for Indonesian national identity which includes the national symbol, national flag, national anthem, language and currency. The symbolic value of national identity is a value that describes religious values, morality values and aesthetic values contained in Indonesia's national identity. The purpose of this study is to use the type of library research or library research, in this case the information obtained is sourced from the internet. The documents obtained are in the form of articles, which are accompanied by pictures. The delivery method used is descriptive. The approach used in this literature study method is the heuristic approach, analysis approach and synthesis approach. The analytical method used is the document analysis method, the content analysis method and the symbol semiotic analysis method. The results of this study can be concluded that first, the symbolic meanings presented in Indonesia's national identity formulate various kinds of things that represent certain values. Second, the data sources obtained to find out about the symbolic meaning of Indonesian national identity are not only found in books, but can also be obtained by accessing the internet media.
